Coming off a last-second loss in last year's Open Division final that ended an outstanding season at 11-1, the Lincoln Hornets went into the 2024 campaign without a home field to play or practice on. That didn't stop the Hornets from regaining their status as the top team in the county, securing a convincing 31-13 victory over the Western League rival Cathedral Catholic Dons in Saturday night's Open Division Championship at Snapdragon Stadium.
