2024 All-San Diego JuCo Team

San Diego Mesa College continues its reign over San Diego County junior college football, leading the way in the 2024 All-San Diego JuCo Team selections. The Olympians, who secured their second straight Kings of the County title with an undefeated record against local programs, dominated the selections following a historic season that featured their first-ever state playoff bid.

Individual Honors

Offensive Player of the Year:  WR Jalil Tucker - San Diego Mesa

Defensive Player of the Year: DB Davion Green - Palomar

Coach of the Year: Gary Watkins - San Diego Mesa

Kings of the County: San Diego Mesa (3-0)

Mesa's explosive wide receiver Jalil Tucker earns Offensive Player of the Year honors after a stellar season featuring 41 receptions for 663 yards and 10 touchdowns, while also contributing on defense with an interception. His dynamic playmaking ability helped power the Olympian's high-octane offense throughout the season.

Palomar College's Davion Green captures Defensive Player of the Year recognition with an extraordinary performance in the secondary, leading the state with 9 interceptions while adding 9 pass breakups. His ball-hawking skills made him one of the most feared defensive backs in the state.

Gary Watkins of San Diego Mesa earns Coach of the Year honors after leading his program to unprecedented heights. Under his guidance, Mesa secured both their second consecutive Kings of the County title and the program's first-ever state playoff berth.

The offensive selections showcase Mesa's firepower, with quarterback Jax Leatherwood directing an attack that features three All-San Diego receivers (Tucker, Conor Lawlor, and Dazure Paggett) and talented running back Danny Davis. The offensive line selections reflect Mesa's dominance in the trenches, with three linemen earning recognition.

Defensively, Palomar College made its presence felt with four selections, including Green and a strong linebacker corps featuring Steven Arteaga and Jaiden Letua. Mesa's secondary earned multiple spots with John Shepard, Brandon Worsley, and Jayden Cortell all receiving honors.
