Prep Football: Granite Hills halts Saints' comeback attempt in the final minutes

In just his second start as a high school football player, Granite Hills freshman quarterback Zachary Benitez was tasked with leading his offense down to the field trailing 17-21 with less than three minutes left to play. He would go on to complete a six-yard pass to running back Maxwell Turner for the game-winning touchdown. No. 8 St. Augustine (2-1) was able to drive down the field and attempt a game-tying field goal, but the kick went wide right and the No. 3 Eagles (2-0) celebrated their 11th straight win. Isaiah Jackson had two touchdown runs from the wildcat formation. Saints freshman halfback William Flores rushed for 123 yards and a score on 22 carries.
