We would like to congratulate the six teams who won their respective 2017 CIF San Diego Section Championship, and will advance to the CIF State Playoffs.
Helix Highlanders (11-1)
Defeated Mission Hills 26-19
The most anticipated match-up of the season lived up to its billing, with the Highlanders proving to be the true top team in the county. Sophomore Elelyon Noa rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns to help the Scotties clinch the Open Division crown for the second time in the last three seasons.

El Camino Wildcats (8-5)
Defeated Eastlake 20-10
The Division I title returns to the city of Oceanside, but this time its El Camino bringing it home. Senior running back Chris Brown exploded for 138 yards and two touchdowns to help the Wildcats win its first championship since 1999.

2017 San Diego Division II Champions
Steele Canyon Cougars (10-4)
Defeated Ramona 33-29
Senior quarterback Thomas Fishburne threw for 163 yards and two touchdowns while adding another 149 and a score on the ground, helping Steele Canyon earn its first section title since the program started in 2002. Top-seeded Ramona was the second team to suffer its only loss of the season to the Cougars during their historic playoff run. The seven-seed also stunned two-seeded Bishop's in the quarterfinal round and will advance to the State Playoffs on a six-game winning streak.

Southwest Eagles (13-0)
Defeated Santa Fe Christian 35-28
The Eagles of El Centro are the only undefeated team remaining in the San Diego Section after overcoming a tough effort from the Eagles of Solana Beach. Tyler Saikhon and Justin Cordova notched two touchdown runs apiece, but it was Carlos Ruiz' 34-yard interception return for a touchdown that sealed the game, and the first title for Southwest since it joined the section in 2000.
2017 CIF San Diego Division IV Champions
Monte Vista Monarchs (8-5)
Defeated San Diego 71-48
Powered by a record-setting performance from running back Jahmon McClendon, who rushed for 383 yards and eight touchdowns, the Monarchs earn their first title since 2003 and hand the Cavers their only loss of the season.
Vincent Memorial Scots (11-2)
Defeated Crawford 45-3
The 2017 CIF Championships kicked off with the Scots dominating injury-plagued Crawford to earn its program's first section title. The Vincent Memorial defense put up 10 total sacks and held the Colts to only 111 yards of total offense.
