Adriana Bush (#43) & Leslie Hubbell (#31) rushed for North County's first three touchdowns against Bakersfield.
ESCONDIDO, CA (05/07/2016) For the second time this season, the North County Stars (3-1) needed just one half of football to defeat the Bakersfield Bombers (0-3).
Adriana Bush led all rushers with 252 yards and two scores to propel the Stars to a 27-0 victory Saturday evening.
When these teams met in week one, North County got off to a 26-0 lead before the game was called off early in the third quarter due to lightning.
This time it was multiple injuries suffered by the Bombers that put an end to this game during halftime.
Leslie Hubbell got the Stars on the board first with a 15-yard run to the end zone.
Bush piled on with two explosive touchdown runs in the second quarter.
The play of the day belonged to Knengi Martin, who stiff-armed a Bakersfield defender on her way to a 50-yard score after hauling in a pass from Mary McGee.
Next week the Stars begin the first of three straight road trips when they take on the undefeated Carson Bobcats, who handed them their only loss on April 16th.
