2014 Recap: 10-2 (4-0 Eastern League, 1st)
After opening the season with a 55-10 loss to eventual Division I state champion Folsom, Cathedral Catholic rode a 10-game win streak to the Open Division semifinals. Looking for revenge after being dealt a 9-7 setback by the Dons during the regular season, Helix came away with a 27-5 victory to end all hopes of a section title repeat.
2015 Outlook
No strangers to tough schedules, the Dons will have their work cut out for them once again this season. With the graduation of 16 starters, Sean Doyle's 20th season in charge could turn out to be the most challenging of his tenure.
Assisting Doyle on the journey towards another Open Division playoff berth will be senior Tyson Maeva, one of the county's premier linebackers.
With Clayton Dale moving on, Tate Haynes will take over as the new starting quarterback. His key target will most likely be running back Hogan Irwin, who has also proven he can be a deep threat as a receiver.
