The defending Open Division champions were just a game away from a second straight appearance in the title game, but was derailed by eventual champion Oceanside 38-31.

 

2015 Outlook

 

With a projected starting lineup packed with seniors on both sides of the ball, you can almost guarantee that Mission Hills will be a top contender for the Open Division title once again this season.

 

Senior quarterback Dakota Miller will be without his top two receivers from last year, but he'll have an explosive target in Troy Warner, who is also arguably the best cornerback in the county.

The Grizzlies' non-league schedule will be highlighted by a September 4th visit to Torrey Pines (a team on the rise), and an October 9th revenge game against North County nemesis Oceanside before kicking off league play. They will also look to earn their sixth straight Avocado East title.
