School Colors: Green, Black, & White

League: Avocado West
Championships: 2 (State), 14 (Section), 20 (League)
Head Coach: John Carroll (26th Season)
2013 Recap: 10-3 (4-0 Avocado West League Champions)
Early Outlook
Oceanside will have a 37 player roster, lack depth in key positions, and two starters who are out until midseason, but with John Carroll back in full control, we shouldn't expect anything less than the usual appearance in the section finals.
Carroll will get back an experienced and efficient quarterback in senior Matt Romero, but he will need some help from a young group of receivers and offensive linemen. The run game should be in good hands with the return of Josh Bernard, a very physical player on both sides of the ball.
Led by all-league selection Tommy Woo, the Pirates will continue their tradition of strong defensive lines. With Bernard providing big hits for the linebacking corps, and Isaia Poapoa leading the secondary, the Pirates should be a tough team to score on this season.
