With a 14-14 tie late in the second quarter, the game looked like it was going to be a seesaw battle, but the Surge pulled away with 64 unanswered points to secure the win.
The Surge will have an opportunity to avenge their only loss of the season when they host the Sacramento Sirens (6-3) in the second round next Saturday, June 22nd. The Sirens advanced after a 25-6 win over the Pacific Warriors in their first round match-up.
